Product Description
3M High Temperature Aluminum Foil/Glass Cloth Tape 363 is a silver, glass-cloth-reinforced aluminum foil tape with a pressure-sensitive silicone adhesive for high-temperature protective wrapping and heat shielding. The flexible 0.19 mm (7.3 mil) laminate follows curved and irregular surfaces while providing high tensile, puncture, fracture, and tear resistance. Its reflective foil supports heat management, and the applied tape performs continuously from -65 to 600 deg F (-54 to 316 deg C). The construction meets FAR 25.853(a) requirements and resists flame, moisture, weather, UV exposure, and chemicals. It is used over insulation, cables, instruments, wire harnesses, and other heat-sensitive components exposed to movement or vibration.
Key features
- Reinforced flexible laminate: Aluminum foil over glass cloth combines conformability with puncture and tear resistance.
- Continuous high-temperature service: Applied tape performs from -65 to 600 deg F (-54 to 316 deg C).
- Defined flame qualification: The exact 363 construction meets FAR 25.853(a) requirements.
Applications
Suitable as heat-reflective wrap over insulation, cables, instruments, wire harnesses, and high-temperature-sensitive components in aerospace and industrial use.
