- 50-Second Positioning Window
- Low-Temperature Flexible Bond
Product Description
3M Hot Melt Adhesive 3764 AE is a clear, 100% solids thermoplastic hot-melt adhesive in AE-stick form for bonding plastics and compatible industrial substrates. When heated, the adhesive flows to wet the joint and develops bond strength within seconds as it cools, reducing the need for clamping or extended drying. A 50-second open time allows adjustment and positioning during assembly. The formulation remains flexible at low temperatures and provides good shear and peel strength with impact resistance. It bonds acrylic, ceramic, foam, glass, polycarbonate, polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC, metal, paper, cardboard, and wood in assembly, attaching, securing, sealing, and packaging operations.
Key features
- AE-Stick Applicator Format: The AE stick is made for compatible 3M hot-melt applicators.
- 50-Second Positioning Window: The open time allows adjustment before the adhesive cools and sets.
- Low-Temperature Flexibility: The thermoplastic formulation stays flexible at low temperatures while providing impact resistance.
Applications
Suitable for plastic bonding, general industrial assembly, attaching, securing, repair, sealing, and packaging.
