- Selectable Formulation Processing Window
Product Description
3M Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive EC-2216 B/A is a flexible, room-temperature-curing epoxy for prepared metals, wood, plastics, rubber, and masonry exposed to shock, vibration, flexing, or thermal cycling. The gray formulation mixes 2:3 by volume, provides 90 minutes of work life, and reaches handling strength in 8 to 12 hours. The translucent formulation mixes 1:1 by volume, provides 120 minutes of work life, and reaches handling strength in 12 to 16 hours. Both formulations deliver 25 piw T-peel strength at 24 deg C.
Key features
- Flexible Shock Resistant Bonding: The cured epoxy accommodates vibration, flexing, and thermal movement.
- High Peel Structural Performance: Prepared joints combine peel and shear capability for demanding assemblies.
- Gray Or Translucent Formulations: Distinct formulations support different mixing, handling, and appearance needs.
Applications
Flexible structural bonding of compatible metals, wood, plastics, rubber, masonry, and thermally cycled assemblies.
