Main features
- Automotive Headlamp Lens Bonding
- Thixotropic Sag-Resistant Placement
- Flexible -40 to 150 deg C Operation
Product Description
LOCTITE ABLESTIK G757HF-D is a one-part, gray, thixotropic epoxy adhesive for bonding automotive headlamp lenses to reflectors. The heat-cure material is supported on glass, steel, copper, aluminum, and fiber-reinforced plastic. Its 400 mil sag-resistance value and thixotropic behavior keep the applied adhesive in place during assembly. Recommended cure options are 45 minutes at 140 deg C, 20 minutes at 160 deg C, or 10 minutes at 180 deg C. The cured adhesive remains flexible across its stated -40 to 140 deg C operating range and has a typical aluminum-to-aluminum lap shear strength of 10 N/mm^2 at 25 deg C.
Key features
- Headlamp lens-to-reflector bonding: The one-part adhesive is specifically intended for automotive headlamp lens and reflector assembly.
- Flexible temperature performance: The cured adhesive remains flexible across the stated -40 to 140 deg C operating range.
Applications
Applications include bonding automotive headlamp lenses to reflectors using supported glass, metal, and fiber-reinforced plastic surfaces.
