CYBERBOND 2999

Main features

  • Surface-Insensitive Porous-Material Bonding
  • Thixotropic Vertical-Surface Control
  • High-Viscosity Gap Filling

Product Description

Cyberbond CB 2999 is a one-part, surface-insensitive ethyl cyanoacrylate gel for fast bonding on acidic and porous materials as well as common engineering substrates. Its thixotropic, very high-viscosity profile keeps the adhesive in place on vertical surfaces and supports gap filling without the flow behavior of lower-viscosity grades. The colorless, transparent adhesive has cone-and-plate viscosity of 35,000 to 60,000 cP at 0.5 rpm and 3,000 to 6,000 cP at 160 rpm at 20 deg C. Setting-time data are provided for steel, EPDM, ABS, and beech wood.

Key features

  • Surface-insensitive fast bonding: The ethyl cyanoacrylate bonds acidic and porous materials including wood, leather, cardboard, and paper.
  • Thixotropic vertical control: The gel remains in place on vertical surfaces during application.
  • Very high-viscosity gap filling: The rheology supports gap-filling bonds where a low-flow adhesive is required.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Bonding wood, leather, cardboard, and paper
  • Vertical-surface cyanoacrylate bonding
  • Gap-filling bonds on supported substrates
