Product Description
EPOCAST 1618 D/B Epoxy Syntactic is a low-density, self-extinguishing two-component epoxy syntactic compound for potting fasteners in honeycomb structures. The 1618-D resin and 1618-B hardener mix at 100:14 by weight and form a pumpable paste that can be extruded through a 1/8 in nozzle while remaining non-flowing after placement. The mixed system has a 15-minute gel time at 25 deg C and cures at room temperature or with a 52 deg C post-gel heat cycle. Typical cured compressive strength is 5.00 ksi at 25 deg C.
