- Honeycomb Fastener Potting
Product Description
EPOCAST 1633 A/B Epoxy Syntactic is a two-component, halogen-free, self-extinguishing medium-paste compound for potting fasteners in honeycomb structures. The system is non-flowing and cartridge-capable, supporting controlled placement in localized potting areas. Part A and Part B mix at 100:50 by weight and may be cured for three days at room temperature or with shorter elevated-temperature schedules after room-temperature gel. Typical cured compressive strength is 6,500 psi, with 1,400 psi tensile lap shear under the stated conditions.
Key features
- Non-flowing cartridge application: The medium-paste system is cartridge-capable and remains in place after dispensing.
- Flexible cure schedules: The system supports room-temperature cure or shorter elevated-temperature cycles after gel.
- Cured mechanical strength: Typical cured compressive strength is 6,500 psi with 1,400 psi tensile lap shear.
Applications
- Potting fasteners in honeycomb structures
