EPOXYLITE E234

Main features

  • Low-Temperature Trickle Impregnation
  • 15-25 Minute Gel Window
  • Class 155 Electrical Insulation

Product Description

EPOXYLITE E234 Two-Component Epoxy Impregnating Resin is a 100% solids, two-component epoxy system for low-temperature trickle impregnation of motor and transformer windings. The E234 resin and C234 hardener mix at 100:20 by weight or 100:22.3 by volume, producing a typical mixed viscosity of 800 to 1,800 cP and a 15 to 25 minute gel time. The cured system is associated with Class 155 electrical insulation and typical dielectric strength of 1,200 volts/mil. Supported uses include high-speed armatures, appliance motors, transformers, and other high-speed rotating equipment.

Key features

  • Low-temperature trickle impregnation: The mixed system is formulated for motor and transformer winding impregnation with a 15 to 25 minute gel time.
  • Controlled component mixing: The documented mix ratio is 100:20 by weight or 100:22.3 by volume.
  • Class 155 electrical insulation: Typical cured data include Shore D 87 and dielectric strength of 1,200 volts/mil.

Applications

  • Trickle impregnation of motor windings
  • Trickle impregnation of transformer windings
  • High-speed armatures
  • Appliance motors and high-speed rotating equipment
