Product Description

HumiSeal® 1B73/521 PB25 Acrylic Conformal Coating is a fast-drying, single-component acrylic conformal coating pre-blended to 25 ± 5 cP for automated spray equipment without additional thinning. Intended for printed circuit assemblies, it combines flexibility, UV fluorescence for inspection, and practical repairability with a recommended dry-film thickness of 25–75 µm. Typical handling dry time is 30 minutes, with recommended cure conditions of 24 hours at room temperature or 2 hours at 76°C and seven days to reach optimum properties. The cured coating also has documented thermal-shock, electrical-insulation, dielectric, and fungus-resistance performance.

Application and Cure

HumiSeal 1B73/521 PB25 is formulated for automated spray equipment without additional thinning. Successful coating depends on clean, dry assemblies, controlled spray conditions, appropriate ventilation, and compliance with the documented thickness and cure requirements.

Surface cleanliness: Surfaces must be free of moisture, dirt, wax, grease, flux residues, and other contaminants before coating.
Spray application: Use automated spray equipment. The pre-blended formulation is intended for use without additional thinning.
Application environment: Spray at ≤70% relative humidity with adequate ventilation to carry vapor and mist away from the operator.
Thickness and cure: Apply at 25–75 µm dry-film thickness. Typical handling dry time is 30 minutes. Recommended cure is 24 hours at room temperature or 2 hours at 76°C; allow 7 days to reach optimum properties.
Rework: HumiSeal Stripper 1080 is the recommended stripping material.

 

Stage 1
Clean and condition the assembly
Remove moisture and process contaminants, then confirm the coating and assembly have reached the intended application environment.
Stage 2
Apply by automated spray
Spray the pre-blended coating without additional thinning at ≤70% RH, using adequate ventilation and a process targeted to the documented 25–75 µm dry-film range.
Stage 3
Dry, cure and inspect
Plan for 30-minute handling dry, complete the selected cure schedule, and use the coating's UV fluorescence to support coverage inspection before the assembly enters service.
Storage and Handling

Store HumiSeal 1B73/521 PB25 in tightly closed containers away from excessive heat or cold. HumiSeal products may be stored at 0–35°C; before use, allow the coating to equilibrate for 24 hours at 18–32°C. The documented shelf life is 24 months from the date of manufacture at room temperature. The solvent-containing coating is flammable, so application should follow the current Safety Data Sheet and applicable ventilation, ignition-control, personal-protection, storage, and disposal requirements.
