PERMABOND TA4590
Harmonization Code : 3907.30.00.40 | Epoxy Mold Compounds containing by weight more than 70 % silicon dioxide

Main features
- 15-30 Second Steel Fixture
- 2-3 Minute Working Strength
- Non-Corrosive Copper Bonding
Product Description
Permabond TA4590 is a blue, thixotropic no-mix structural acrylic adhesive used with Permabond Initiator 44. It bonds metals, ferrites, ceramics, and selected thermoplastics, with an acid-free formulation developed for sensitive copper parts and other conductive surfaces. The system fills gaps up to 0.5 mm, fixtures gap-free mild steel in 15-30 seconds at 23 deg C, and reaches working strength in 2-3 minutes. Typical 24-hour shear strength at 25 deg C is 20-25 N/mm2 on steel and greater than 14 N/mm2 on steel-to-ferrite assemblies, where substrate failure was reported.
Key features
- 15-30 Second Fixture: Fixtures gap-free mild steel in 15-30 seconds with Initiator 44.
- 2-3 Minute Working Strength: Develops working strength rapidly at 23 deg C.
- Non-Corrosive Conductive-Surface Bonding: Acid-free formulation supports sensitive copper and conductive surfaces.
Applications
Applications include structural bonding of metals, ferrites, ceramics, selected thermoplastics, and sensitive conductive surfaces with Initiator 44.
