Main features

  • Non Chromated Corrosion Inhibition
  • Flowable And Thixotropic Options
  • Selectable Application Life Grades

Product Description

3M Aerospace Sealant AC-730 is a two-part, non-chromated, corrosion-inhibiting polysulfide sealant family for aircraft faying surfaces and joints. Class B grades are thixotropic pastes for extrusion, injection, or spatula placement, while Class C grades are flowable materials for fay-surface application. Both classes use a 100:10 base-to-accelerator mix ratio by weight. Multiple grade schedules let users select an application-life window for the assembly process. After cure, the sealant provides low-temperature flexibility and service capability from -54 to 121 deg C.

Key features

  • Non Chromated Corrosion Inhibition: The polysulfide system supports protected aircraft sealing without chromate inhibitor.
  • Class B And C Options: Thixotropic and flowable forms address different joint and faying-surface processes.
  • Selectable Application Life: Multiple grade schedules support short or extended assembly windows.

Applications

Aircraft faying-surface and joint sealing using the class and grade matched to the application method.
